Overcoming Trauma: A Journey of Healing and Restoration

Updated: May 1

As a Trauma Informed Holistic Nurse Coach, Narcissistic Abuse Specialist, Positive Psychology & Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Overcomer in Him, I've witnessed the transformative power of addressing various forms of trauma with compassion, understanding, and faith. Trauma comes in many shapes and sizes, from the visible scars of violence to the invisible wounds of emotional abuse. Through my work, I guide individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to:

  1. Sexual assault, including exposure to porn

  2. Physical abuse

  3. Emotional manipulation

  4. Verbal abuse

  5. Narcissistic tactics

  6. Financial hardship and abuse

  7. Spiritual abuse

  8. Health crisis

  9. Cancer or other serious diagnosis

  10. Medical emergencies

  11. Malpractice

  12. Accidents

  13. Violence

  14. War

  15. Generational patterns and curses

  16. Environmental tragedies

One of my goals is to explore the depth and complexity of their experiences, helping them recognize and validate the multifaceted nature of trauma. By acknowledging the different forms and dimensions of trauma, we create space for healing and growth in all areas of their lives.

Scriptures serve as a foundational source of strength and encouragement on this journey of overcoming trauma:

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) - "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This verse reminds us of God's constant presence and support, offering comfort and reassurance in times of distress.

Psalm 34:18 (NIV) - "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God's compassion knows no bounds, reaching out to those who are hurting and offering solace in their pain.

Romans 8:28 (NIV) - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Even amidst trauma and adversity, God has a plan for our lives, weaving together our experiences for His ultimate purpose.

By incorporating these scriptures into our coaching sessions, we draw upon the divine wisdom and promises of God to guide us through the process of healing and restoration. Together, we navigate the complexities of trauma with faith as our anchor, finding strength, hope, and resilience in Him who has overcome the world (John 16:33).
