FATHER'S DAY

Father’s Day is a day to celebrate all the dads out there for their unwavering love and guidance, but it’s also a time to recognize the strength of women who have to be both mom and dad. Single mothers hold a special place in our hearts for their ability to provide for their family and give their children everything they need. Some of these are actually ‘single’, married women (aka single wives) who are legally married, but carry the weight of both parents themselves. That being said, we must also acknowledge that all of us have a heavenly Father who provides for us, guides us and helps us through the good times and the bad.

Being a single parent (whether mom or dad) is never easy, whether it’s by choice or circumstance, and it requires a special kind of strength. It’s important to remember that you’re not alone and that there are people who care for you and your children. There’s also a heavenly Father who knows your struggles and is always watching over you.

In times of doubt and worry, we can always turn to our Lord and Savior. The Bible tells us that every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17) and that we should trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

For those who are serving in the role of both mom and dad, the Lord sees your hard work and dedication, and He will provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). He will guide you, comfort you, and give you strength when you feel like you’ve hit a wall.

So, this Father’s Day, let us take a moment to honor all the 'dads' out there:

Happy Father's Day to all you amazing dads that take your role seriously & show up for your family! Thank you for all your hard work, devotion, sacrifice, love, protection, provision, sense of humor, strength, and the example you set! You are needed, valuable, & appreciated!

Happy Father's Day to those that step in & fill in that role for others that had a gap there! You are all of the above but also unique and a special breed of men.

Happy Father's Day to you Mommas out there that are both Mom & Dad! You rock! I’ve been there. I hear you. I see you.

Happy Father's Day to our heavenly Father who is worthy to be praised!

Let us remember that He is always watching over us and that we can turn to Him in times of need, especially for those who do not have an earthly father as His word tells us He is a Father to the fatherless. (Ps 68:5) May He be that for you, be present with you, and bless you.

May He bless all those who are serving in this role with His love, support, and strength.
