🩷I DON'T JUST LOVE YOU, I LIKE YOU🩷

Psalm 147:10-11, “His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of the warrior; the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love” (NIV).

There is just something different about being told you're not just loved but also liked.

Throughout my children's lives, I often remind them I like the person they are.

I do this with my husband as well.

I have also sent them messages or written notes that say:

I love you.

I like you.

I respect you.

I adore you.

I like your sense of humor.

I like the way you are not consuming or demanding.

I like the way you appreciate your blessings.

I love the way you jump in to help when you see it needed

I like the way you laugh.

I like how hard you try.

I love how you are with your siblings.

I love how disciplined you are.

I love how you parent.

I love how you listen.

I love how you know when I need some space or a hug.

I love how you lean on the Lord.

I love the way you think.

I not only love you, but I truly just like who you are.

How many of us could benefit from hearing these words?

1.  How does knowing that God truly likes you for who you are, land differently with you than just being told He loves you?

2. If you’re a parent, how can you ensure your child(ren) know they are liked?

Love & blessings!
