Homeschooling

Updated: May 16, 2023

"You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up." Deut. 6:7

With 22 years of experience as a homeschooling mom, I have tried multiple forms of curriculum. I have found that each one brought it’s own advantages. With each season of my life over that span of years, I’ve learned that flexibility is key. A guideline is great here, but you have to have flexibility to adjust to different circumstances and different children. Remember, the ultimate goal here is their relationship with the Lord and your relationship with them. No one is going to do it perfectly and what works for one family may not work for yours. If something isn’t working, then you have the power to change it. Trust that God has chosen you as their mother and teacher. Cling to Him and He will show up mightily!
