OVERCOMERS IN HIM: WHAT WE CHOOSE NOT TO SAY

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

2 Corinthians 10:5

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

As Overcomers in Him, we are committed to a mindset of growth, praise, and service. Here’s a list of things we intentionally avoid saying, as we choose to rise above negativity and embrace a positive, proactive approach to life.

1. “I can’t do this.”

   - Instead, we say, “I will figure it out with God’s help.”

2. “It’s not my fault.”

   - We choose to say, “What can I learn from this situation?”

3. “I wish things were different.”

   - Instead, we express, “What can I do to change my circumstances?”

4. “Nobody understands how I feel.”

   - We focus on, “I will share my feelings with God and trusted friends.”

5. “I’m just a victim of my circumstances.”

   - We affirm, “I have the power to overcome my challenges.”

6. “I don’t have time for prayer or reflection.”

   - We commit to saying, “I will make time for God and rejuvenate my spirit.”

7. “It’s too late for me to change.”

   - Instead, we proclaim, “Every day is a new opportunity to grow.”

8. “I’m tired of trying.”

   - We encourage ourselves with, “Persistence will lead to breakthrough.”

9. “I always mess things up.”

   - We remind ourselves, “I learn from my mistakes and move forward.”

10. “This is just how I am.”

    - We believe, “I can evolve and embrace positive changes.”

***A Call to Action***

Let’s reflect on our words and their power. Choose to speak life, growth, and gratitude instead of negativity. Each time we consciously replace a harmful expression with one that reflects our faith and determination, we lead ourselves and others toward a path of healing and victory.

Together, as Overcomers, we lift each other up in love and leadership, focusing on our journey of transformation and praise. Let’s cultivate an environment where we support one another in our God-given potential!

Encourage others today! What will you choose to stop saying? How can you uplift someone else through your words?
