Abuse of Women in Marriage is not Suffering for Christ

When churches tell women to endure abuse in the name of "submission," they are not reflecting the heart of Christ—they are cowardly enabling sin.

Jesus never excused oppression. He confronted it. He defended the vulnerable. He called sinners to repentance, not victims to remain in harm's way.

At Overcomers in Him, we are passionate about helping women break free from the lies that keep them trapped, heal from the wounds of abuse, and discover their true identity in Christ. Biblical submission is never permission for someone to abuse, manipulate, or control another person.

God doesn't call you to enable sin. He calls you to walk in truth, wisdom, freedom, and love.

"For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery." — Galatians 5:1 (ESV)

💗 Healing is possible. Freedom is available. You were created to overcome in Him.

If this applies to you and you need professional support to come alongside you in your healing journey, who has also been there, take that first step by reaching out to me to set up a time to discuss what that would look like and begin your BREAKTHROUGH to taking your life back and become the woman God created you to be.
