🩷The Healing Journey: From Brokenness to Beauty🩷

Over four years as a single mom and many more years as a "single wife," I’ve walked a road many of you know too well. It’s a path marked by heartbreak, endurance, and, ultimately, healing.

Some of my deepest healing from a toxic 23-year marriage came during my time as a single mom, while other pieces of my heart were mended in the midst of a future relationship.

Healing from severe complex trauma (C-PTSD) is not a straight line—it’s a journey. A long, messy, and deeply transformative journey.

Trauma can leave us feeling broken, unworthy, like “damaged goods”, or stuck in the pain of our past. But let me remind you of the truth: Our God is a God of restoration and redemption. He takes what the enemy meant for evil and uses it for good.

Romans 8:28 tells us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” This promise assures us that no matter how shattered we feel, God is weaving something beautiful through our healing.

Those of us who have walked through the fire of C-PTSD and committed to the hard work of healing often emerge with something profound—a level of empathy, compassion, understanding, wisdom, and discernment that others cannot comprehend. The battles you’ve fought and the scars you bear are not signs of weakness; they are proof of your resilience and God’s transformative power.

Do not doubt your value because of what you’ve been through or the mistakes you’ve made.

Those very experiences are shaping you into the person God created you to be. You are not broken beyond repair—you are being rebuilt for His purpose. Because of what you have lived, you bring things to the table that no one else can.

Lean into the journey. Trust God’s process. And remember: Your story can be the light someone else needs to see hope again.

❤️ You are valued. You are loved. You are never too far gone for redemption.
