Domestic Violence is one of the few crimes where the victim is asked to explain themselves more than the abuser!

There is something deeply broken in a system where the wounded are questioned more than the ones who caused the wounds.
If you’ve ever found yourself over-explaining…
Trying to prove your pain…
Replaying conversations to justify your reality…
You’re not crazy—you’ve been conditioned.
Abuse—especially emotional, verbal, and psychological—trains you to believe you are the problem.
It keeps you in cycles of confusion, self-doubt, and striving for approval that will never come.
But here is the truth:
God is not a God of confusion. (1 Corinthians 14:33)
And He never asks you to shrink, justify, or lose yourself to keep the peace.
In fact, Scripture warns us clearly in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 about people who are lovers of themselves, abusive, without self-control, and having a form of godliness but denying its power… and it tells us something powerful:
👉 “Have nothing to do with such people.”
That is permission for boundaries.
That is permission for clarity.
That is permission for freedom.
Healing begins when you stop trying to explain your worth to those committed to misunderstanding you—and start aligning your identity with what God says about you.
You are not called to defend your pain.
You are called to walk in truth.
In Overcomers in Him, we don’t stay stuck in survival—we rise into self-leadership, discernment, and God-given authority.
You are allowed to heal.
You are allowed to have peace.
You are allowed to walk away.
And you don’t need permission from anyone—but God.
🤍 If this resonates, you’re not alone. Healing is possible, and it starts with truth.
If this applies to you and you need professional support to come alongside you in your healing journey, who has also been there, take that first step by reaching out to me to set up a time to discuss what that would look like and begin your BREAKTHROUGH to taking your life back and become the woman God created you to be.
